Friends, I'm having trouble in joining one of PC with
Windows 2000 Professional OS to a Windows 2000 Server. The
PC while joining is giving DNS Lookup error and is not
allowing the PC to join. Please guide me if anyone ever
faced this problem

Usually this is caused by one of three things:

The DNS for you AD Domain is not DYNAMIC
(i.e., accepting dynamic updates for the zone)
The Server is not a DNS client of the DYNAMIC DNS
The Client is not a DNS client of the DYNAMIC DNS

All DNS clients (and that includes "servers") must be set
on their NIC properties to use SOLELY the internal DNS
server set that allows them to resolve the AD specific
records that get added to the DNS zone.

If you have to change the server or server "client NIC settings"
then RESTART the NetLogon service to update the records.
