I'd like to get Exporer to open up where I want it to within the profile
that it's launched. Currently the "start in" box says: <
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%>, which starts it in C:\Documents and Settings\rff\My
Documents.
According to "Windows 98 Annoyances" the file path language (which is quite
different from the above) includes a notation for the folder "Tree View" (as
opposed to the unexpanded single folder setting) and a command to permit
multiple openings of Explorer, in case these issues figure into a solution.
A systemwide command applicable to all profiles, which is what <
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%> sounds like, would be fine, but it's not necessary.
Most of the time I use Powerdesk98, but there are times when you need
Explorer and what I'd prefer is <C:\Documents and
Settings\rff\Desktop\Docs>.
TIA
