Getting Contacts into Outlook Today and my PDA

I have a new notebook computer with Windows XP
Professional Edition fully updated. I installed a new
copy of Office XP Standard (Outlook 2002) and fully
updated it. I also have an HP iPAQ Pocket PC sychronized
to the notebook. My employer has some sort of email
server that I connect to via some sort of Novell network.
I can receive and send emails just fine in Outlook Today
and the Calendar seems to be working fine also. However,
I am having a serious problem with contacts.

I believe I have successfully imported a pst file with
739 Contacts into a Personal Folder. The contacts and
folder seem to be okay. However, I can't find any way to
successfully move or copy these contacts into the Outlook
Today Contacts Folder, which means no contacts in my
PDA. When I attempt to either copy or move the contacts,
I get some kind of error message. However, the contacts
appear to be in the Folder, but the bar at the bottom of
the screen shows zero contacts in the Folder and none of
these contacts get transferred to the PDA.

Somebody please tell me how to get my contacts into the
Outlook Today Contacts Folder. These contacts came from
a copy of Outlook 2002 on a desktop computer. Thanks!

"some sort of mail server?" Could you be a bit more specific?
What information store is Outlook using, an Exchange mailbox or a Personal
Folders file? How many Personal Folders files do you have in your profile?
