hi,can anyone help please?
Using WMM2,
OS win XP home,
have successfully,captured video from camcorder,
done all editing successfully,
now want to send it back to dv camcorder,(for eventual
record onto DVD burner)
my file is appx 9.2gb's in PAL format,
get message No Can Do,because of Fat 32 restriction being
4GB's
do I really have to start again, breaking down movie into
4gb's or less portions, or having to partition my HD?
Surely somebody has been here before me?
any /all ideas gratefully accepted
many thanks

Most bite the bullet and change the disk file system to NTFS to get beyond
that limitation...

wburch,

It's easy to convert a drive from FAT32 to NTFS. Just
open a Command Prompt window, and type:

CONVERT X: /fs:ntfs

Where X: is the letter of the drive you want to convert.

Note that this does not reformat your drive, and you
will not lose any data. Of course it's always a good
idea to back up your files just in case.... :-)

If your gonna do alot of editing, go out and buy a second
HD, when you install it format NTFS from the start,
transfer the movie to the new drive. Of course converting
your C drive would do the trick but...

My XP is fat 32, my 'video drive' NTFS - smoooth
sailing...
