Getting acess to the PPT file format.

Hello,

I'm sure you used to be able to apply to Microsoft to get access to
information regarding the office file formats but I can't find anything on
the site anymore.

My company wants to be able to import powerpoint documents into our whole
class teaching whiteboard application. Any ideas on where I can look for
information regarding the PPT file format?

Would html versions of your PPT documents work instead?
Several of our customers use this approach to bring PPT files into academic
web-based systems.
