It used to be that when I'd open a new window in IE it
would open full-sized, i.e., occupy the entire screen -
automatically. But the other day I apparently did
something unintentionally that caused this to change.
Now any NEW window I open up comes up in a reduced size,
and I have to MAXIMIZE it to get it to occupy the full
screen. It's no longer automatically opening up this
way. How can I restore things to their past state where
I'd automatically get a maximized window? NOTE: This
applies only to ADDITIONAL windows. When I bring up an
initial window (i.e., no other windows are open at the
time) the window does open up to full-screen.
(What I think I did to set this reaction off was right-
click the icon on the task bar representing multiple open
windows. A menu of options presented itself, and I must
have clicked one I shouldn't have. Beyond this, I know
nothing more.)
