Hello,
Is it possible to automaticly get a degree symbol in a cel once a type a
number?
It is possible with currency etc. under format cell and then number but i
can't find temperature anywhere.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Let's say that in A1 we have 30.123456
this is a little more than 30 degrees.

In A2 put =A1/24
and format A2:
Format > Cells... > Number > Custom and enter
[hh]°mm'ss\"
in place of
General
to see: 30°07'24"

Try this:

Select the cells to be impacted

From the Excel main menu:
<format><cells><number tab>
Category: Custom
Type:
enter the word: General
....then hold down the [alt] key
....type 0176...release the [alt] key
....type a space
....type C
Click the [OK] button

That will make 21.5 display as: 21.5° C

Is that something you can work with?

It doesnt work

When you typed the 0176, was it on the numeric keypad? If not, try typing this
on the numeric keypad. If you did, review the entire sequence of keystrokes
and post back here exactly what you did.
