Well I've ordered a GF 6600GT video card, but it's just occurred to me, is my current PSU beefy enough?
I have a 300w P4 ready PSU, will I need a better one if so, any recommendations for someone on a budget?

It'll be running 2 HDDs, DVD ROM, DVDRW, sound card, some interior lighting, 3-4 fans, P4 2.6GHZ CPU, and other basic stuff; ie network card etc.

Sorry, but no such thing as a good budget PSU.

This is one field where you really do get what you pay for.

Which is kinda annoying cos you really don't see any obvious improvements when spending money on a PSU.

What you won't notice though is those random crashes and instability you see when using a crap or underpowered PSU.

Usual recommendations: Tagan; OCZ; Antec; Enermax.....

I use an Antec TruePower 400w and it runs the following fine,

3.3GHz P4 Prescott
Asus P4P800-E Deluxe
2 x CD / DVD-RW Drives
1 x HDD HotSwap Bay
1 x IDE 80GB
1 x SATA 80GB
1 x 6600GT 128MB Aopen Aeolus
4 x 80mm Case Fans
1 x Fan Controller
4 x 256MB GeIL DDR400

Anyway you get the idea... Antec have never let me down with my 6600GT yet.
