I have been working with WMM and have made a few home videos from DV
camcorder. When I move the files into Sonic MyDVD I have noticed the longest
movie I am able to burn on a DVD is about 1:22 hrs. I thought someone has
said a DVD can hold about 2 hrs of video.
Can anyone tell me why I can't burn more than 1 hr 22mins on a DVD?
Using DV-AVI setting when copying video from camera. It's a JVC DV camcorer.

I haven't used SonicMy DVD but most DVD burning applications have the option
of SP and LP.... just like old VHS tapes, you can put more on one if you
lower the quality.

Cari,
I realize the camcorder can record either SP or LP and it will give either
60 mins. or 90 mins. of record time. I was wondering if after I transfer the
video and begin to try to burn it to a DVD the software will only let me burn
about 1:22 worth on a single DVD. If I combine different cassettes and edit
until I have a movie together and if it is longer than 1:22 will not burn. I
thought a DVD can hold up to about 2 hrs. of video, how can this happen?
