I have created a PivotTable.
From this PivotTable I need some data.

I have used de function GetPivotData.
This works fine, if I use the function inside the same workbook.
If also works if the PivotTable is in another Workbook.

However if the workbook with the PivotTable is closed, then I get a
reference fault.

Is that normal? Must the table with the PivotTable be opened?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Rickie

Yes, that is the default position with GetPivotData - the source file must
be open.
