When I bought this new HP PC computer I did not know it came with Windows movie maker.

I'm using it now and have almost completed a project when all my pictures on the timeline was yanked in place of a big red "X". I keep on getting warning about activating my Windows movie maker.....how do I do that?

All versions of XP have Movie Maker included but it doesn't need
registration or activation. I have a couple HP desktops that I was surprised
to find came with the Plus! pack installed, something that gives Movie Maker
2 some extra effects and transitions. On initial startup it said I need to
activate it.... for the Plus pack usage.

I used my product key.... you would need to ask HP about it.

The red X's indicate the clip or item originally imported or used isn't
available on your hard drive, where you originally put them.... right click
on one and browse to the file to re-associate it.
