Is there any way to get the current time zone from a machine?

I'm getting information (on spreadsheets) from a 3rd party where all times
are written using GMT, but when I store that I want to convert it to my
current time zone.

Surprisingly enough, you can get that from the TimeZone class.

Hi Rob,

You can make use of the Win32 API GetTimeZoneInformation to retrieve the
current time zone settings from the machine.

For more information on the GetTimeZoneInformation function, please refer
to the following MSDN document:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms885646.aspx

I searched in the codeproject web site and found a good sample of how to
use this GetTimeZoneInformation function in .NET applications:

'World Clock and the TimeZoneInformation class'
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/dotnet/WorldClock.aspx

Hope this helps.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
