Just got a new computer with XP, and since then, every
time I double click on an image I get a preview window. I
can't find a way to turn this option off. It's very
frustrating. I want to edit the picture when I double
click, not preview. Any help you could give me would be
appreciated!!!

Thanks

Jenny

When you're viewing it in xp's viewer, press Control + E to edit the picture
in Paint.
You can also right-click it and select edit.

You will want to change the default application associated with the image.

1) Right click on the image file type
2) When the context menu pops up, select 'Properties'
3) Under the General Tab, you will see a 'Change' Button on the 'Opens With'
line, click that

Here you can select the application you want to be launched by default when
you double click that image file type.
