Get rid of Outlook Express for users of Office2003

A huge number if not a majority of Microsoft problems with viruses, etc.,
were laid at the door of Outlook Express as the source for sending those bad
boys to everyone on a victim's e-mail or other contact list. Now that we have
Office 2003 -- and I have it -- I want to delete Outlook Express from my
system. I don't want it. But there is no way I can find to do that. If you
uncheck the "Install Windows Components" in Add/Delete Programs from Control
Panel, nothing happens. Outlook Express remains in the system and even pops
up every now and then unwanted. So:

A. Please tell me how to get rid of it short of a registry hack.

B. Can you assure me there will soon be a way to allow all right-thinking
nerds to dump it from their systems as soon as they get Office 2003 OR that
installation will move the data into Outlook2003 and THEN delete the ancient
old troublemaker.

Thank you
