Hi- why does Windows XP Pro 32-bit SP3 say it has found new hardware, every
time I plug my Blackberry into my PC via the USB cable? It never did that
before I backed up and wiped my hard drive, then reinstalled everything. I
guess I need to install some driver or something, but what?
Other USB drives plug in fine, but not my Blackberry. I need it for
debugging...

Cheers,

Check with the supplier of your blackberry device, see if they have software
for your device to talk with your pc. Visit the manufactors web site see if
they have a download.

Are you sure that you are always plugging it into the same USB port.
Receiving a 'Found new hardware ...' is normal behaviour when you plug USB
devices into a port that they haven't been plugged into before.

Yes it's the same. I have the software which I uses to transfer files to my
phone, but it can't see the phone as before. Also, when I'm programming, and
I try to attach the debugger to the phone to step through code on the phone,
it hangs...

Weird...
