get desktop directory

I would like to get desktop directory from system.
Because every computer has different configure for desktop, i just
wonder are there any function to access the desktop information by
computer and users.

Check the API section of "The Access Web" http://www.mvps.org/access/ for
some of those. You can also check Randy Birch's site http://vbnet.mvps.org
but note that Randy's site is aimed at VB programmers (not VB.Net, despite
the name of the site...). There are some significant differences in the
controls available on forms in VB and in Access, so some of his examples
won't port directly to Access. The module-related code, though, should be
fine.

Thanks for the infromation,
I just wonder any link for API to access Windows system information
like computer name, physical memory, IP address, ...etc.
