Hi all
Here is a funny one. all the past version of Vista I had no problems at all
on a HP M7470N and a Dell 8400.

I installed the program for the MP500 printer/scanner.

The printer works just fine, when I try to scan anything, I get a error to
install the scanner drivers?!?!?

Checking in system\hardware all drivers are installed and working
properly???????

I know some computer genius can help
thanks in advance
Jerry

Do you have any ideas?
Thanks for any support

Yes, I just figured out a solution. If you open the printer properties for
the mp500, click the Advanced tab. Then by the driver option, select "new
driver" and browse to the location were you are keeping the downloaded
drivers. Browse through until you find the "mp500pr.inf" file (in the
mp500xp102usz" directory. Select that, then select the Canon MP500 SERIES
printer and hit apply. Close the properties window and you should be able
to run MP Navigator now.

It worked for me. YMMV.
