I have a secured database which has 2 .mdw files: one
created in Access2000 and one in Access97. This is
because the database was originally created in Access97.
The back-end is still in Access97. When some users were
converted to Access2000, I converted the frontend
(nondestructively) and have frontends in both Access97
and Access2000. My own workstation was running
NT4/Access97, and everything was working fine. I was
joined to the Access97 workgroup. I own and have Full
Control over the folder in which the .mdw's and databases
live, and am the owner of the files.
After I was converted, I tried to join the Access2000
workgroup. Got an "Access is denied" message. I even
got that message when I tried to join the backup copy I
had of the workgroup, which was in my "Z" space (space on
the server for my files).
Is there anything else I can do besides create
another workgroup with the same groups & PID's etc, for
my use? Please advise, thanks. F. Barth
