hello i have a network laser printer gestetner c7010 running on
windows 2003 server with citrix metaframe. Last night we had 3
electric failure, caused by electricity supplier and i recieve and
error message sc 481 please help

Note; For the record I never said at any time the following,

"I've never had the sponges shrink on a cart that was in use
regularly.
I have had them clog up from the filter grate at the bottom of the
tank
filled with sediment. I'm not real big on buying new stuff. I try to
salvage everything. In a worst case situation, I can slice an opening

in the top of the cart to gain access for maintenance. Then I epoxy a

piece of plastic over the top for a fresh start. When completed I have

a thumb screw in the top so I can refill without removing the cart
from
the head.
While it does seem tempting, I have learned never to remove ink from a

cart for reuse. If it's a huge ink supply I might try it and keep the

ink segregated for experimental use only. The Canons don't hold enough

ink to sway me"

Seems that editing quotes can msslead others.

Burt I'm sure you might like to edit what you have put under my name.

For the record, firstly, It would be appreciated if those answering
posts would look at the dates on the posts, easy to see they are more
than 6 months old.
Secondly Burt ! or whoever you are, I have never written the
following;

"I've never had the sponges shrink on a cart that
was in use regularly.

tank
filled with sediment. I'm not real big on buying new stuff. I try to

If anyone else wishes to edit posts to suit themself for whatever
reason do it to someone elses, Editing both private and public
messages and re posting them with my name on them is odd to say the
least.

For those slow on the uptake or totally brain dead, The section above
that was posted by burt was not ever written by myself at any time, is
that clear ?

Why any fool would fill cartridges without removing them from the
print head loses me, as for some thumb screw, got me stuffed.

Remember, I did not write that ! someone had edited a very OLD post
and then added their own section to it, if that's hard to follow you
have the problem, not me.

All I comented on was how the ink tank's sponge on some brand ink
tanks will shrink and then stop the flow of ink to the print head,
that's it.
