Genuine bios from a web site not recognised by board?

This is not my day, cant even update the bios

Downloaded newest bios form
http://www.asus.com/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=A7V8X

for a7v8x mambo and gives message that bios is not recognized!

WOW. What does that mean?

Verify that is indeed an ASUS board and not a knock-off clone.
