Hello,
I just bought a Gericom 300 GB external USB hard disk, but my
system fails to install the needed generic driver. The automatic
installation of "Generic USB Hub on USB 2.0 Bus" ends up in an
message like (roughly translated): "an error occured because the
system was unable to find the specified file" (see my screenshot:
http://www.editorial.de/postcard/gericom-usb-hub.gif - German).
But what file is missing? I really hunted a lot, it seems to rely
on something referenced in "oem48.inf", but everything I tried
to do and find and download had no success at all. This error
message is totally useless and I'm totally helpless.
I never had any USB problems on this system with several hardware.
Any hints?
Regards,
Thorsten
