After installing the critcal MS update KB887742 everytime I turn my computer
on I receive an error box Generic Host Process For w32 had an error and has
to close. This error appears to take place when i last turned the computer
off. I used system restore to go back prior to this update and the error box
has dissappeared so I assume its the update thats causing this error on
startup. Any comments from others having this same problem. Running Windows
XP SP2 with Norton System Works 2002.

Reinstall the update and then check if some software that starts with
Windows conflicts with it.

Thank you for your responce I will try the suggested cures but the time on
the error indicated that it happened when I shut down not when I start up.
