Generating powerpoint files from a web page

Hi all,

i am looking for an component that would let me create and save
powerpoint files from VB / ASP.
i would like to create a powerpoint templates and then programatically
insert data into the template (from a Database for example) using an
API.
there are a few products that do they same for Excel like speedwriter
and others.
i prefer not having to install office on the server to create this
file.

It's called PowerPoint and is available at finer software stores everywhere.
;-)
Seriously ... there's no component available. You have to use PPT itself to
create PPT files.

i prefer not having to install office on the server to create this
file.

That makes sense for quite a few reasons. A second standalone computer with
Office and access to a share on the server might be a better choice.
