I am trying to come up with a relatively easy way to publish some Access
queries, forms, and reports, in HTML format, so people in my office who don't
have Access, can essentially view Access data.
I found this neat little tool online:
http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/access2asp.htm
It quickly and easily converts Access data to ASP code. However, it doesn't
really seem to work well. I could view only one table on my Localhost, but I
can't see any other tables. Similarly, there are hyperlinks in the one table
that loaded into my Explorer browser, but whenever I click on any of these
hyperlinks, I get an error message. I know this is a limited version of the
program, but I think it should provide some basic functionality and it really
doesn't provide any (as far as I can tell). Is there a trick to making this
tool work? Is there an alternative out there somewhere? Is there any kind of
tool out there, anywhere, that allows a user to convert Access databases to
..asp files so that I may share Access data with people who don't have Access
installed on their machines?
