Hi all

I am very very impressed with this spyware scanner
microsoft have developed. This spyware scanner picks up
spyware that even Adaware and PestPatrol do not.

I do throughly like this Microsoft Spyware remover and
its results are so detailed.

Ill keep testing it and logging bugs. One major issue is
CPU usage, as it is sometimes hard to run other apps
while it is running.

Rodney,

Thanks for reporting your results. I too have experienced the cpu issue - a
"throttle cpu utilization" setting would be nice like I have on Symantec
Antivirus Corporate Edition 9 - but at least it only takes 15 minutes to
finish the scan on my machine. I just take a break!

Yes, its a know issue with the CPU usage, I guess it should be fixed by the
next beta release. I would recommend not to run additional programs if you
plan on doing a scan.

I have had just the opposite experience.
Ad-Aware SE Personal finds more things than Microsoft
program ever did so I have deleted it.

Thats just cookies and dataminers that Adaware is finding over MSAS. MSAS
is not looking for those things right now. I have found MSAS to be quite
good thus far.

As I have always said, AntiSpyware is still in its infancy for a beta 1
product and the features not supported will of course be by beta 2 or RTM,
just give it time.
