General Templates vs. Design Templates

Using the same template, we get different results if we go
in through Design templates or general templates. If we
get to the template through general, we open in page one
of the presentation (not the title page) and have speaker
notes set to bullets and 12 point arial font. If we go in
through design templates, we default to the title page
(color on left bar is wider than it should be) and there
is nothing indicated for speaker notes.

Has anyone else seen this?

If we go in through templates you do:

File New
On right hand task pane, choose new from template

When choosing the correct template, it opens to page one
fo the presentation (not the title page) and shows the
speaker notes bulleted with Arial font

If we go in through design templates, you choose
File
Fro the New Presenation task pane on the right hand sice,
choose From Design Template, when you choose the same
template, it opens to the title page but when you go to
page one of the presentation, it does not have the speaker
notes set to bulleted Arial font

What version of PPT are you using?

Is it just opening in different views -- maybe one with the speaker
notes pane showing, and the other without?

Also, can you clarify "go in through"? Please tell us step by step how
you're opening these files.

Hm. This is strange, Denise.

I've just tried it with a couple of different templates, but I can't
replicate what you're seeing.

Which template are you choosing?
