general templates default view

The default view in the templates window is large icons.
I can change it to list once but then when I restart word,
the view reverts back to large icons. How can I set my
default view in the templates window to 'List'? Thanks!
 
You can't--at least not without some VBA. You might inquire in one of the
Word VBA NGs.
