"general" tab

My "general" tab in Explorer 6 ("tools" > "internet
options") is completely gone which means I can't delete
cookies and Internet files, nor can I clear the Web
search bar. How can I resolve this? Could you please
reply to my e-mail address? Thank you very much.

Missing the General Tab under Tools/Advanced tab...
This has been known to be caused by some malware called CoolWebSearch. Do
the following:
Download and run: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip to
remove the parasite.
Then download and run:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/iegentabs.reg to restore your
tabs and remove any restrictions that the parasite has put in place.
