General Tab removed from Internet Options

Unable to delete Temporary Internet Files,Clear History
etc. Also has removed Service provider's Home Page and
installed ipc world home page.
Have tried Adaware, Spycleaner and other things
recommended by my Service Providerbut nothing works. They
say that I need to alter the Windows registry to allow the
General Tab to return.Do I have to take it to a computer
techo?

Missing the General Tab under Tools/Advanced tab...
This has been known to be caused by some malware called CoolWebSearch. Do
the following:
Download and run: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip to
remove the parasite.
Then download and run:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/iegentabs.reg to restore your
tabs and remove any restrictions that the parasite has put in place.
