Start-Run-Regedit
There could be more than one "GeneralTab" value.
Try these keys first and then search for GeneralTab (no space)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel
Remove "GeneralTab" if present.

Restore All Tabs under Internet Options
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/iegentabs.reg
Download the reg file to the desktop and run it. When asked "are you
sure............" click yes
Get Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
Update with the on line update function and scan then remove all selected
items.
