Never will you succeed if you try it over and over again if you don't change
your hardware configurations.
Changing the installation versions will do no good.

It is obvious that microsoft left a big problem at the end of the
setup.Anything unsuitable may cause a crash which means having waste the
previous time.

there are no exact solutions because there are so many causes. The only way
is to change things(hardware) little by little until you make it.

here are some ways for referance:
1.format your destination partition.
2.begin your installation not in the Windows but before it(use boot from
CD-ROM)
3.take away as many plugs on your mother board as possible(especially in the
PCIs)

I succeeded after following these steps, hope you will make it

!!!!!!!!!!-----------------------------!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but be careful. If you use a dual boot and begin the installation
immediately after the formating without going to XP even once , the partition
name in vista WOULD NOT MATCH THOSE IN XP. for exmple ,if my XP is in the C
patition and I install vista in E. The vista will call the partition where it
is installed Partition C and the original C and D would be D and E etc.

"Going to XP even once" makes no difference.
It's how you start the install that makes the difference (from within XP or
from booting from the Vista DVD).

Please do not spread false information.

What are the plugs in a notebook? I have no USB attached - so what should i
be removing?
