According to the helpfile of Defender, it should be possible to decide
whether or not to activate the Real Time protection, with several optional
possibilities. Cannot find this possibility; will this option perhaps be
available in later betas?

Scroll down in the options--all the way to the end. There are two
checkboxes that default unchecked for specific kinds of notifications, and
there is a checkbox to turn off real time protection.

Tools, General Settings, scroll all the way to the bottom.

Well I see just one checkbox but nothing about the real time protection?!

Greetings Jan

Sorry, I didn't scroll down the window but I found the settings. A little
bit stupid I guess.

To Bill Sanderson, Jan Kuipers and Tom Tinsley:

Thanks for your help! I just overlooked the fact that I could scroll down;
must be the age.

The UI is different. Giant's UI was new to most of us, and now we have
something resembling their style, written to Vista standards, which are also
new to us!
