In trying to sort out an issue I have with another program, the tech
mentioned to me that I had the 'classic' Outlook 2007 look though my Word
has the '2007' new look.

I bought and installed Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.6316.5000) SP1
MSO (12.0.6320.5000) Part of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007.

Can I install the 2007 new look ... or is it with my 'Enterprise' version
not possible?

Thanks, Dave Horne

They missed out the ribbon on the Outlook main window due (as I understand
it) to the lack of time. You will notice that if you create a new message,
or event, then the ribbon is present. It will be present in all functions of
Outlook in the next release I believe.

Asking a question?
Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about,
your OS, Service Pack level
and the FULL contents of any error message(s)

Well, I guess the question I have is, is there a newer version of Outlook
2007 or do I already have the latest version?

Nope - the next version hasn't been released yet...

If you have all the updates installed from Windows update, you have the
newest version.

PS - you might want to get a tech who actually knows something. :) The main
outlook 2007 interface does not use the ribbon, never will. The individual
items (messages, calendar, contacts - all except Notes) use the ribbon.

Gordon, thanks. DH

Diane, thanks for the additional info.

I wasted 90 minutes today on the phone with that tech. I thought my 'older
view version' of Outlook could have been part of the problem (since the tech
made that comment) and now I learn that I have the latest version already.
Jeeesh.

Thanks, DH
