General query problem in ac2003

Dear Ms dev team,

Although there is obvious something seriously wrong in ac2003 concerning queries, there is nothing to be found in the KB about this problem. I've got a complete database running at a well known university. This database has been converted first from ac97 to ac2k and after various (minor) problems this worked fine. Now we are forced to move to Ac2003. Nothing really works anymore. Queries with refs to fields in forms don't give any results (no error mess). Word docs based on access queries don't work anymore, comboboxes with contents based on field values in form don't work anymore.
Besides this serious query problem, there is a hughe lack of response time when opening any database component in design mode. (you realy have to take the day off).
Can you please come up with an answer for these problems? or better come up with a service release?

Microsoft is not likely to fix this issue. By default, A2003 runs in Sandbox
mode because - as stupid as it sounds - Microsoft believes they must now
protect you from yourself.

To turn that off, go to Tools | Macro | Security, and set it to Low. For

Regarding the performance issues, there are several things you can do,
including turning off Name AutoCorrect, Subdatasheets, and ensuring your
network paths do not exceed 128 characters. Details:
