For some reason, several weeks ago, my husband was
surfing the net and somehow managed to loose
the "General" option of the "Tools: Internet Options".

I tried to re-download IE6 but that didn't change
anything.

In his version of IE6 in his work area, the option still
appears.

How can I get it back so I can dump the history every now
and then?

Thanks,
Rhenda

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
