"General" Internet options tab 'missing'

P

Paul

I'm running Windows XP Professional and Internet Explorer
6. When Internet Options is selected from Tools command-
there is no "General" Tab. I can't select or change home
page, delete cookies, etc. Anyone know a fix?

There could be more than one "GeneralTab" value.
Try these keys first and then search for GeneralTab (no space)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

Remove "GeneralTab" if present.
