Since my original attempt at installing and running MS AntiSpyware a year or
so ago, I've been plauged by a general interface failure which would not
allow user options to be saved, advanced tools to appear or operate, and an
initial screen showing 'question mark' icons instead of the yellow stars.
(just for starters!)
One more attempt at getting a handle on this problem led me here and to an
unrelated 'hint' that solved my problem!:
You might also try this fix to see if it does the job:
1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware
Thanks guys! I've re-registered virtually eveything I could identify as a
possible culprit, but this one did the trick!
