General Error In Media Player 9

My Windows Media Player 9 always gives me an error
whenever i try to play any video or audio (except mp3)
files. I tried everything to correct this problem
including reinstalling the software and getting rid of
RealPlayer. This problem also occurs with my realplayer.
My soundcard drivers are up to date. The following is the
information on my system:

Error Message Number: 8007007E
Error Message: "The Specified Module Could Not Be Found"
My Opperating System: Windows XP
Version of Media Player: 9
