General default font setting for message lists

Is there a general default setting for the message list font? that is,
change it one place for all folders? I have about a bazillion folders and my
eyes are getting older, so now I need to increase font size on all the
message lists. Occasionally, I have to go through all my folders and check
for messages with a certain date.
 
Found my own answer (partly) - may be useful to others:

Set up a search folder to select messages with desired criteria (specific
dates and folders) and change font size for message list of search folder.
