I have SP Professional on my laptop and I have an external hard drive to
which I want to place a "Full System" backup to. I follow the instructions
in the backup Wizard but I stumble when I am prompted to install a floppy
disk. My computer does not have a floppy disk drive, only writable CD
drive. If I ignore this instruction and proceed with the backup, I get an
error message that says "There is no floppy drive available. The ASR
recovery disckette can not be created". Is there a solution to doing a full
system backup without a floppy drive?

If thinkpad then use lenov's backup, a 400mb download that is "free"

I use Acronis for all imaging and backup. Works across networks, usb,
firewire, dvd burners, etc.

I agree with the other poster that Acronis works great.
