I have a WinXP Pro laptop that, all of a sudden, doesn't
have the "General" and "View" Tabs under My Computer |
Tools | Folder Options. I only have the File Types and
Offline Files Tabs.

I am the network administrator so I have full access.
I've looked though the KB and can't find any help for
this.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Hi Reid,

This is caused by a registry setting/gpedit or tweak. Start here:
Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore

Kelly,

Thanks for getting me started :) Pls excuse my
ignorance, but I've looked at that reg key and compared
it to another xp box (home version, I don't have another
pro box), and don't see what I should be changing. Can
you take me one more step? Thanks again in advance for
your time.

Brgds,
Reid

Hi Reid,

Run the edit on line 129:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

If that doesn't help, export the key mentioned previously and email it to
me.
