Maggie

I was recently on this board enquiring about a
compatability problem with my SIS chipset, geforce card
and xp. I tried everything that everyone suggested.
Thanks for your suggestions! As of yet, I haven't found
the solution though.

I have discovered that my geforce graphics card (4) will
work if there are no drivers installed. As soon as I add
a driver I lose my monitor.

My chipset is a Sis730s and everything worked fine until
I updated to XP. Armed with my new info about the drivers
I am once again, asking for help!

I thank you all for your suggestions.

Hmm. Maggie - are you up to date with the mobo BIOS? Also, have you
installed the latest [AGP] chipset drivers from SiS?

Maggie, I too have been through the hell of trying to get
a GeForce 4 card to work. And you know what? I never got
the cursed thing to work! But I'm going to give this tip
anyway just to be kind. (Or maybe just be annoying, you
decide)

Try this: Download and install the latest drivers from
xfxforce.com, then go to Device Manager uninstall the
card. Then shutdown and physically remove the card and let
it sit out for awhile (to rid it of any residual charge),
then put it back in and use the updated drivers.

If you have already went through a process similar to this
one, then you might just want to ignore me.
