I hope someone is. I am running one of these on my new box. Since it is my
new primary computer I am not about to run a pre-release OS on it, but am
looking forward to Vista on it after launch. Are you having issues?

Colin,
I'm SHOCKED!!!
Not running Vista on your new playtoy???
LOL
Good thinking though!!

Thanks for the kind words!

I thought about making it the test box and using the AMD64 x2 4400+ box as
my primary (the A8N SLI Deluxe mobo is a rock) but it would have been a bad
idea. The P5N32 SE SLI Deluxe mobo in the new box is a brand new release
and has issues. I am getting ready to try a test version BIOS update sent
to me by a technician to try to correct some problems with memory over 2GB.
Installing Vista would have just confused the heck out of my conversations
with my system builder tech support folks.

It will be months before I am comfortable that the mobo is really right.
Until then I need to stick to supported OS's only on the box for tech
support reasons. In the meantime as long as I keep the box to 2GB all is
well.

No I'm not having issues Colin, but a friend is, and I am wondering if the
card is implicated considering these are new cards and presumably may not be
catered for in RC1. The installation appears to be ok until the pc reboots
and then 'blue screens'.

If you/your machine have the capability could you please try an installation
and check it?. You obviously do not have to stay with RC1 considering you
have concerns about running "a pre-release OS on it".

Glad your MOBO is a rock, mine is a lemon. I'm on the 3rd chipset fan.
Haven't installed it yet as the case seems to keep the chipset cool enough
even with a dead fan(case side fan seems to be enough). I will say, ASUS
asks no questions and has a new fan out the same or next day. Wish the
Premium model had been available with the heatsink.

Since the nVidia driver updates are being pushed down from WU, what is in
RC1 doesn't really matter. One thing is certain, attempts to take advantage
of SLI are going to be somewhat painful until both the video card makers and
the mobo makers get Vista drivers and such refined.
