Does anyone know where this is after downloading in on Windows Update? I am
still confused over this whole issue as is a lot of people.
 
Description of the Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool

"The Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool detects if you have any
one of the Microsoft programs installed on your computer that are
listed in the "Applies To" section. If the tool detects these programs,
you will be redirected to a Web page that contains the latest security
information and security bulletins."

will this exploit effect anything other than the "applies to" section?
Furthermore are these products that are listed in "applies to" going to have
a specific update? And like where?
 
The Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool is certainly not an "exploit".
All it does is detects certain software that may have security updates
available. This eliminates the need to manually check your software
for available security updates.

The GDI+ flaw may be found in other products as well (non-Microsoft
products).
