gcasDtServ takes 100% of CPU time after boot up...

.... sometimes. I thought I saw a suggestion to un/re-
install. I did that and it was fine for awhile, but the
problem came back today. Visual symptom is that
the "target" is not in the systray and no apps will
start. After confirming in Task Mgr., I end the process.
It restarts itself normally (not at 100%) and apps also
start.
 
Sorry... forgot the backup info... XPPro, SP2, all
patches, on a Dell D800 Latitude w/1gb ram.
 
Don't know if this helps you , but I have on occasion
had a similar problem with programs when there is a
conflict between programs,May be you have another
program that is conflicting, do you run more than 1 anti
spyware program?
