I posted a message earlier about what I can do to get
Gator off my computer. I received a reply about Adware,
etc. I have adware but it only blocks gator, it doesn't
eliminate it.

adaware is not designed to block anything - if used properly it deletes all
occurrences of spyware. I have used adaware to successfully remove gator.
You may also try Spybot - some people feel it does a better job at cleaning
out spyware.

Go to www.cnet.com. Click at the top to go to downloads.
The next screen type in the box ad aware. It's from
Lavasoft. I swear by it. After downloading it, go through
the tabs to make sure that it has an x beside quaratine
spy ware before removing it. After that hit scan and it
should remove it all for you.

have used both adware and have both on my computer they
both remove gator for me. It seems that software you
download will try and install it at times. I run either
one at least once ever two days or spy sweeper which also
works.

Ann the right one is "ad-aware" not "adware"... freeware from Lavasoft, (not
Lava Software)

This will not only remove most if not all spyware, but it will keep it from
coming back.
