i have a gateway pc that is old 1992 i love it but i need to clear all my
applacations a reinstal them . well thay do not make this cd anymore and i
was looking to see if any1 has a download or a cd 4 this i have cd 2
application there are two 1 and 2 so i ahve a problemand also i am
running windows xp home add

CD 1 would have been the one with the operating system.
CD 2 typically contains the applications and possibly drivers and/or
Gateway specific tools. Sometimes the programs on these CDs are "locked" to
the original computer and will not install unless the original operating
system (from CD1) is in place.

On older systems you *might* get lucky and still be able to install them
but no guarantees. If codes and product keys were supplied for these extra
applications, use them. The installation programs will prompt for them when
needed.

In other words, I don't think finding CD 1 is going to solve your problem.
Sorry. If you do happen to find one, make sure it is for Gateway computers
and for your exact model too.
 
I would hate to see how XP runs on a pre Windows 95 computer, it won't even
install on most.

I'm thinking that must be an error (perhaps meant 2002?) since PII wasn't
even released until late Win95 era....
