I recently reconfigured the home LAN of Win2K machines, setting up
ICS.
Now when I try to use Windows Explorer to reach the gateway from one
of the other machines, I get the error
\\gateway is not accessible.
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type
at this computer.
From \\gateway I can reach \\other1 and \\other2. \\other1 and
\\other2 can reach each other, but neither can reach \\gateway. Users
and passwords didn't change and appear to be intact. Deleting a user
and recreating the user on \\gateway didn't help.
Using the command net view \\gateway results in the message
System Error 5 has Occured
Access is denied.
All machines can ping each other by name and by IP.
Gateway did not have net share IPC$. Adding this made no difference.
ZoneAlarm Pro was installed on \\gateway as part of the changeover,
but these errors happen even when ZoneAlarm is shut down.
Can anyone help?
