I've taken an external hard drive enclosure and put another hard drive into
it form another computer that has gone kaput! There are some addresses on
there that I want and I've tried importing the .wab file to no avail. When I
open the file it shows nothing. I've tried EVERY PERMUTAION that I can think
of to try and import the book. The interesting thing is that when I try to
import using the text file format, things enter the address book but they
look like small squares...basically garbage characters. There are a certian
number of address left in there and I'm wondering where they went and how to
get them on my new computer drive? Can someone help me on this?

Hi,
Same version of Outlook Express on both machines? Backup the current WAB
file on the good computer. It would probably not be at risk, but why take a
chance. Copying it to another folder should be enough.

Copy the WAB from the HD of the bad computer to the HD of the good machine.
Location probably doesn't matter. Double-click the WAB. See if OE can open
it.

Hope this helps,
Don
