WINDOCTOR told me that "C:\WINNT\System32\MAPISRVR.EXE"
could not access a necessary file "gapi32dll". How do I
obtain this file? My Windows 2000 Professional was
insatalled on my computer when I received it about 3 years
ago and I did not get any CD ROM disc with it. What
should I do and is this file important??

Hi, Jack.

This message has some validity for some users, but mostly it's just an
irritation that Symantec should have cleared up years ago. :>(

See this Symantec support page:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...Document&prod=&ver=&src=sg&pcode=&svy=&csm=no

That Symantec page concludes, "Because this appears to be a problem with
WinDoctor, and not with the Microsoft files mentioned, it is probably safe
to simply ignore the problems so WinDoctor will not keep detecting them."

Google shows nearly 900 hits on "gapi32".
